LBCarCo Special 15th Anniversary Adventure - London and the Baltics - Summer 2016

Itinery for the LBCarCo 2016 Baltic Cruise Adventure

Images from the trip

2016 marks the 15th Anniversary of the Adventures that Jan and I have been putting together for our friends and customers. It has been a really great time and the trips seem to be enjoyed by all. 2016 promises to keep the tradition going and will be the largest undertaking so far. The tentative plan is a wonderful 12 night cruise of the Baltic Countries departing from Southampton, England on June 28, 2016. We will arrive the day before and recover from jet lag before departing on the majestic Royal Caribbean ship Navigator of the Sea.

Jan and I were on this type of ship this past year and it is marvelous, with an ice rink and show, great productions in the show theater, a flow rider for surfing (and yes anyone can do it, even the captain takes a spin on it), a glorious shopping promenade with a 24 hour cafe where all the action takes place (they even have a British style pub, British car and phone booth on the Promenade) and a themed party almost nightly. There is a main dining room as well as several specialty restaurants. There is so much to do and on cruising days you will find Jan and me at trivia where she usually wins :) There are also art auctions, gambling in the casino, a library, spa, exercise center, pools, hot tubs and many nooks to relax.

The cruise will be one like Jan and I did last summer to check it out so we know it is a great choice and something you will never forget. We will stop in Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen, Denmark; Tallinn, Estonia; Helsinki, Finland, Bruges, Belgium; and St. Petersburg, Russia (two night) and 4 days cruising.

Following the cruise, before returning to the USA and Canada, we will spend 3 nights in London since we have not had a visit to stay there since 2007.

We are still working out the details and so far there are about 80 people that have expressed and interest in joining us for the Adventure. There is no size limit to our group for 2016 which is great, we can have one big Anniversary Party.

The cost should be similar as past adventures around $4000ish per person but it will of course also depend on the type of cabin you choose on the ship. They range from inside cabins, ocean view cabins, virtual ocean view cabins, promenade cabins, balcony cabins to suites. The choice is yours. Unlike past adventures where we do it all we will be using a travel agent for the cruise and air booking. We will arrange as usual the land tours both while on the cruise and while in London and those will also be incorporated into the total cost. All the details are not yet worked out but we wanted to let you know about it and to contact Jan at if you are interested and please put Adventure 2016 in the subject line.

Jan will be emailing all the people that have already said they were interested. If you are not sure if she has you on the list drop her a note. We have found the best prices on the ships are available when you book early so that is important. Deposits are of course refundable.
