LBCarCo England Adventure
March 2004
Preliminary Questionnaire

We love England, and not just for the great cars they used to make in Abingdon and Coventry. London is one of the world’s great cities, the English people are welcoming, and the countryside of the Cotswolds is beautiful. There are so many places to see and things to do that you could visit England countless times and still have new adventures.

We’re planning an itinerary that we hope will make this trip memorable for you, whether you’ve been to England before or not. But we need your help now to do this.

During our week in the Cotswolds, we’ll have day trips planned for each day using our private coach. Admission charges to the attractions and museums visited will be included in the base price of the trip. We’ve left time free to stroll into town, visit a pub, get to know the locals, walk through the castle gardens and relax in your cottage.

The time in London will be structured differently. In London, we’ll make use of the London Transport system (primarily the Tube, but also buses and rail) to get around. A Central London Travelcard for the week is included in the base price of the trip. Using the Tube/Bus System is easy, inexpensive, and safe, and the fastest way to get around London. Each day in London, we’ll have some group activities planned and some sightseeing recommendations. You can join us or do your own thing. You’ll decide in advance what group activities you want to join, and you’ll only pay for those. (A welcome dinner our first night in London will be included for everyone.) We’ve found that in a group this size, people naturally split into small groups for London sightseeing.

Begin now to check out some guidebooks and websites. Visit your bookstore and browse through the guidebooks available. Besides places to visit, they also cover the history, customs, local culture, etc. and being familiar with this helps you enjoy your stay from the beginning. These are good websites for info on what’s happening in London and England:

To help us plan the details of the trip, we’re asking everyone to complete the survey attached and send in with your deposit of $500 per person.   This information will let us know a little bit about your interests and what you’d like to see/do in London and in the Cotswolds. We’ll include this information in our pre-trip packet so you’ll know a bit about your travel companions and have an idea who has similar interests and might enjoy the same places or activities.
